DTS Fluid Power, LLC (DTS) was founded in 1979 as Hickmann Fluid Power and changed its name to DTS Fluid Power in 1991. DTS is a mobile hydraulics distributor operating from three leased facilities in: Grandville, MI (headquarters & primary warehouse), Elk Grove, IL (sales office only) and Livonia, MI (sales office & small warehouse). The company has approximately 33 employees. DTS sells products in Michigan and the northern counties of Illinois, Indiana and Ohio. Its top suppliers include Eaton/Vickers, Dayco-Eastman, Energy, Auburn Gear, and Poclain.
Al Wilde, President
Mr. Wilde first joined DTS in 1993 as Sales Manager. From 1995-1999, he was the Vice President of Sales and minor stockholder. He is currently the President of DTS. Before joining DTS, Mr. Wilde was employed by Berendsen Acquisition and Lucas Fluid Power.
Mr. Wilde has a Business Administration degree from Muskegon College and he also attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering for Hydraulic Application and Theory and Electronic Hydraulic Interface.
Gary N. Evans, Vice President of Operations
Mr. Evans is currently the Vice President of Operations. Before joining DTS in 1992, he worked at Hickmann Fluid Power and JH Bennett Corporation. He graduated from Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC) in 1974 with a Business Administration degree. He also attended GRCC in 1976 for Hydraulic Theory, Design and Troubleshooting, WSCC in 1981 for Computer Programming and he received his Vickers QA Certification in 1985.
Michael D. Wilde , Vice President of Sales
Mr. Wilde currently holds the position of Vice President of Sales since joining DTS in June 2001. Michael brings to DTS over 13 years experience in fluid power engineering and sales management. Most recently, he has served as Sales Manager and Vice President of Sales for RHM Fluid Power, Inc. and Ultra Hydraulics, Inc. respectively. Mr. Wilde also brings 3 years experience as Manager of Assembly Division for Autodie International where he was responsible for the design and build of automovitive and appliance high production assembly systems.
Michael is a graduate of Davenport Unversity where he holds a Bachelor of Business Adminstration degree. He also has been certified by the Fluid Power Society as a Fluid Power Specialist since 1988.
